After 12 weeks of competition and the best 8 weeks worth of points, TNT Racing's Martijn Arnoldus captured the overall championship in the 2020 Season 2 Pro Mazda Championship with an impressive 1584 points.
Martijn said "My best season ever in Pro Mazda. More calmness and consistency. Pushed when I had to push. Top five 34 out of 39. 2x DNF at Spa, 2x at Nurb. All by myself. One top 6.
Broadcasts: one win, two second places. One DNF. Beat a lot of top drivers in racing. Some times a bit luck on the right moment. Good recovery this week after bad week at Nord.
This title feels much better than my first one. This season the SOFs were much better, and harder to win. And it's the last title in this car. After spending so much effort into the community and racing.
It was not always fun to drive for the title. U get maybe one or two shots. I always put pressure on myself. But I could handle the pressure by good preparations.
I'm a happy driver. Proud to bring the title back again to TNT racing"
With 7 total drivers in the series, here's how the rest of TNT Racing placed:
7th - Anne Medema - 1176 points
9th - Fabio Berchtold - 1115 points
10th - Scott McIntyre - 1046 points
12th - Karl Crowley - 1017 points
14th - Russ Addie - 944 points
15th - Erwin Van Den Berg - 943 points
7 of the top 15 drivers is a best for TNT Racing and surely a benchmark for other teams to aspire to. Congratulations to all drivers!
