TNT Racing Assumes the iELMS Series Lead

TNT Racing's Gold team consisting of Paul Darling, Scott McIntyre, Erwin Van Den Berg, James Wyckoff, Martijn Arnouldis, and Benjamin Lindsay have assumed the top spot in the iRacing Endurance LeMans Series after four weekends of racing. Saturday and Sunday of next week see the series at LeMans for a 6 hour battle. TNT Racing's Gold team has transitioned from the hunter to the hunted and must continue the string of solid results if they wish to take home the title in 6 weeks' time.

Last weekend's Silverstone outing saw Paul Darling, Scott McIntyre, and Benjamin Lindsay push to the front and secure 183 points - 36 more than their closest rival - to bring them to the top of the standings  by almost 100 points. In order to preserve or possibly extend their lead, the team will expand to include Erwin, James, and Martijn for this weekend to increase the pace. LeMans offers crazy speed, intense multi-class action, and enough sausage curbs and barriers to cause potential issues for any team. Last season's NEO race in the HPD saw Bobby Tinsey exit the track with 9 minutes to go, dropping from 3rd to 5th in the overall race standings and missing the podium for end-of-season standings by a few mere points. With that in mind, TNT will be thoroughly engaged in race preparation for all participants this week and next to ensure complete coverage for potentially two teams in both Saturday and Sunday's races.

Though having a solid end result in NEO and avoiding catastrophic failure, the near-miss is still fresh in the mind of TNT Racing's members. With the competition sure to be fierce and lap times incredibly tight throughout the season, it will take a supreme effort to keep the car toward the front of the field and away from trouble with the other HPDs, GTEs, and LMP1 cars. The action will commence at 2pm Eastern Saturday and 10am Eastern Sunday and is available on twitch.tv through Gold team driver Scott McIntyre's channel.
